Assistant project manager

Morson are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager for a long term contract based in Brighton to start beginning of May. middot; Undertake and discharge roles and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager : To include . middot; Ensure all activities are appropriately and managed to ensure safe operations . middot; Supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimise their work contribution. middot; Prepare presentations to provide reporting and updates to the Client and the Senior Leadership Team middot; Attend progress meetings with the Client and Contractors to manage the works and progress. middot; Review contractual agreements and develop working methods, RAMS, and programme middot; Develop programmes and forecast budgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the Project Manager and Commercial department. middot; Provide input to the programme to ensure the appropriate specialists provide the level of resources with the necessary skills so as not to impede the construction programme. middot; Communicate with the site team and the commercial team rsquo;s issues of non-conformances and contractual correspondence. Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained. middot; Ensure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works are reviewed, approved and adhered to. middot; Supervising responsibility for site teams liaison with internal and external stakeholders Person specification middot; Degree level qualification or equivalent in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering middot; Understanding of Engineering Principles middot; Knowledge and Understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training. middot; Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices. middot; Relevant CSCS Card middot; Training in Health Safety and Environmental management Desirable: middot; Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent HND/ HNC middot; MICE middot; MAPM middot; Vocational Training (successful experience of project management) Please send CVs to (url removed)
