Job description:

One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Head of Service - Business Support and Performance. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with possible further extension based on budget and performance. Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary The client is looking for a permanent Head of Service, Performance and Business Support to further develop and embed their approach to performance across Children and Young People rsquo;s Services. The role holder will be an experienced leader who will play a critical role in leading the performance framework for Children and Young People rsquo;s Services and the Safeguarding Children rsquo;s Partnership. Duties and Responsibilities * Understanding performance, data and intelligence and using this to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. * Effectively work with colleagues to implement a culture of performance management at all levels contributing to strategic and resource planning for the future. * Lead role within the Senior Management Team on inspection readiness, turning performance into insight and developing our Self Evaluation process. * Inspection frameworks for Children and Young People rsquo;s services, national indicators and data sets. * Outcome based accountability and similar methodologies and the implementation in practice.
