Job Title: Steel Erector Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Salary: GBP14 - GBP16 + Overtime (Enhanced rate) Monday ndash; Thursday (Friday optional overtime day) Immediate - Permanent position Tools Provided Interaction is working closely with a leading provider of modular home solutions, committed to delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable housing for great causes. With a focus on innovation and craftsmanship, they strive to exceed expectations in every project they undertake. We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Steel Erector to join the team. As a Steel Erector, you will play a crucial role in the process by safely and efficiently erecting steel structures for modular homes according to technical drawing and designs. Your Responsibilities: Read technical drawings to determine the layout and dimensions of steel structures for modular homes. Work closely with the fitting team to ensure seamless integration of steel structures into the modular home assembly process. Operating hand and power tools to cut, weld, and bolt steel components. Hoist steel beams, columns, and other structural elements into place within the modular home framework. Ensuring that all safety procedures are always followed, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct quality inspections to verify structures are installed correctly and meet project requirements. Follow project deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. What we need from you: Previous experience as a Steel Erector or similar role in the industry, with specific experience in modular home construction preferred. Proficiency in reading Technical drawings and specifications Strong knowledge of steel erection techniques, equipment, and safety procedures. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
