Engine Design Engineer - Peterborough (Hybrid) - Up to GBP40/hr - Inside IR35 Do you have engine design experience, and are you seeking a new hybrid role in Peterborough? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping one of the world rsquo;s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines recruit a Design Engineer, and the hybrid role comes with a contract rate of GBP40.00 per hour. In your first few weeks in this Design Engineer role, you can expect to: Design and package various core engine components Work in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure solutions meet customer, durability and functional requirements Develop solutions for issues arising from the Quality and Manufacturing environments Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure design solutions are aligned with high quality and cost expectations Support FMEA on components and systems to identify and address design risks and determine validation needs To apply for this Design Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include: A technical background (HNC or technical degree preferred in mechanical or automotive engineering), though other qualifications or experience are equally valued Knowledge of core engine systems such as rotating systems, valvetrain, castings, lubrication, breather and cooling systems Engine experience, internal combustion engine experience is highly favoured, diesel engines and petrol engines Good understanding of component manufacturing principles processes Knowledge and experience using CREO is a must Knowledge and usage of Teamcentre is desirable As a vital member of the team and in return for your expertise, inclusive approach and commitment, we #39;ll provide a favourable contract per hour rate of GBP40.00 and the chance to join a passionate and welcoming team.
