Operations assistant

Job Summary: The production assistant will provide essential support to the operational team by assisting with various tasks throughout the production process. This role involves working closely with managers and other team members to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities: * Process RFQ rsquo;s and new purchase orders. * Send quotes for materials and surface treatment processes. * Offer support and cover Goods In department. * Assist with updates including use of customer live portals. * Place orders for raw materials and surface treatment processes. * Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for delivery schedules. * Answering telephones and to provide administrative backup as and when required. * Keeping supplier and customer list updated with contact names and phone numbers. * Assisting the Operations Manager and dealing with general internal/external enquiries within the department. Skills: * Attention to detail. * Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. * Capacity to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required. * Basic understanding of manufacturing processes * Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Knowledge on MatchIT preferable, if not training will be given. * The ideal candidate would have 5 years rsquo; experience in an office environment and knowledge of manufacturing processes
