As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support with their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full time, long-term post, commencing ASAP. ** This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others. ** What will I gain from this Youth Mentor role? A full year #39;s experience working with children with complex needs. A competitive daily rate - GBP95 - GBP105. Working alongside like-minded individuals and receiving the best support and guidance from Specialist staff. Behaviour Mentor - Job role: Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom. Encourage the development of the students #39; social skills. Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs. Support and comply with the school #39;s safeguarding procedures. Full-time, long term position starting ASAP. Located in the Borough of Redbridge.Behaviour Mentor - Candidate Specification: A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University - ideal not essential. Genuine interest working with SEN. Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt. Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable.
