Structural engineer temporary works

You could be applying your skills and experience working across the UK and Europe on the complex deconstruction of nuclear power stations, large industrial and chemical plants... * Structural Engineer (Temporary Works) * Chartered (ICE or IStructE) * Based near to London (ideally) but not essential * Willingness to travel/stay away IS essential (25% of your time) These types of demolition schemes don #39;t tend to come much larger. Usually following an extended decommissioning period, the projects take a huge amount of design and planning, often involving explosive demolition methods as well as structural dismantling. Their projects are up and down the UK plus in Europe (Holland, Belgium etc) Your role will be to focus on the temporary works elements of these projects - floor load assessments, structural reports, temporary works propping/support, analysis on the removal of structural components etc. working closely with the Operational teams/directors. Opportunity-wise, it could be very exciting. Not only will you be working on some incredible projects, there #39;s scope for the role to develop into a Senior position in the near future. Plus, the market these guys operate in is pretty recession proof and their future order book is at record levels
