Design manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with CambridgeHOK for the recruitment of a Design Manager. This position is a hands-on Project Management role, to manage and co-ordinate the design process and support the delivery of multiple diverse projects that focus on energy reduction and advanced technology and processes. CambridgeHOK are a forward-thinking group of horticultural engineering specialists with four separate divisions. They are specialists in Vertical Farming and provide solutions to this rapidly expanding industry creating profound efficiencies in horticulture. This is a unique opportunity, in an industry of the future, which aims to deliver globally important reductions in food miles and habitat loss. This key position will report into the Engineering Director and support a diverse design team of specialist engineers. The Design Manager will be responsible for: Ensuring the delivery of designs on time and to the required industry standards Managing a wide range of internal and external designers on a project basis Evaluating designs and specifications Liasing with on-site installation teams and regulatory bodies Managing design reviews and amendments Organising and delivering design programmes The Design Manager will need: Previous experience of managing design processes Experience of working in a traditional or off-site modular construction or similar manufacturing environment A design background, ideally degree qualified The ability to communicate at all levels of the business Experience of adhering to and setting procedures with a flexible approach to ensure delivery The ability to work in a team environment and lead the delivery of projects We are open to hearing from candidates from a wide range of industries with a particular interest in construction, modular build, leisure homes, building services and civil structural engineering.
