Senior Quantity Surveyor Exeter We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a regional civil engineering firm dedicated to delivering high-quality projects that shape the infrastructure of the South West and the surrounding regions. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team in Exeter. As a key member of management team you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success and accuracy of their civil engineering projects. The role: * Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including materials, labour, and equipment. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop cost-effective project plans. * Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential risks * Sub-contractor procurement * Negotiate contracts, change orders, and variations. * Cost analysis and value engineering * Site measurements, valuations and final accounts What you will need: * Experience within a Civil Engineering environment * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator in civil engineering project * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costing principles * Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
