Location: Sellafield Role: Welder (NVQ Level 3) Rates: We pay the NAECI Blue Book rates and when required; lodge and radius payment. For NVQ level 3 Welder it will be Grade 5: Standard Rate: GBP21.27 Overtime Rate 1: GBP29.78 Overtime Rate 2: GBP38.29 Hourly Bonus: GBP2.37 Lodge: GBP337.12 Hours/Shifts: 44hrs, 6 at OT1, Monday to Friday plus overtime opportunities and potentially nights. Work Type: Contract PAYE Job Specification: Perform mainly TIG welding operations, but occasionally STICK according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols. Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting and shaping components as necessary Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of parts prior to welding Inspect weld for accuracy, completeness and conformance to specifications Conduct visual and non-destructive testing to ensure the quality of welded joints Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance Report any equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Use Appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures Work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectivelyEssentials: Ideally we need a minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Welding. Again, preferably we would like experience in either the nuclear, defence or oil gas industry.
