Quantity surveyor

We are working with a Tier 1 national contractor on an new major scheme in Southampton and they are in need of a Quantity Surveyor to join the team and help deliver one of the biggest schemes to start on the South Coast in the last few years. The project is a GBP100 million plus new build scheme for the University, RC frame and full fit out with large and complex M E packages. The scheme is now in detailed 2nd stage works with enabling works starting this month and main construction works to start late 24 early 25 so there is an opportunity join now and start procurement of the major packages and set the scheme up at really early stages before prestart and then you will be running elements of the scheme from a commercial perspective with an on site Commercial Director who will take overall responsibility for the project. The role will be to initially work with the design and precon teams on detailed 2nd stage works before commencing procurement and then take to site. Once on site you will be looking after several packages on site and have overview and responsibility for the commercial health of the projects including managing sub contract packages, procurement of materials and plant, remeasure, valuations, payments, managing variation accounts, forecasting, CVR #39;s etc. They have excellent salary and benefits available for the right people and are fully committed to the region from a regional hub in Southampton and have secured pipeline of work for 2025 and 2026 on a range of framework and 2 stage negotiated schemes. This is the largest scheme delivered in Southampton for a long time and is a unique opportunity to work on a major project so if you want a real challenge, have worked on schemes in excess of GBP25 million for Tier 1 contractors and have the ability to manage large, complex packages and be able to implement your own ideas then apply today.
