Group Procurement Category Manager We rsquo;re looking to recruit a highly experienced Group Procurement Category Manager who specialises in mechanical and electromechanical components to join one of our clients rsquo; Procurement team based in Stevenage. In return, this role offers a fantastic salary of up to GBP65,000, plus bonus opportunities of up to 21%, a strong pension scheme, annual salary reviews, plus much more. About the Group Procurement Category Manager Role This role is an opportunity to work in an international context, bringing your expert procurement experience and knowledge to manage the suppliers and ensure effective category management. You rsquo;ll collaborate with other business partners to properly understand customer expectations and develop an understanding of mid-term systems product development. You rsquo;ll also come equipped with an extensive knowledge of the supplier market and be able to effectively build and implement category strategies and manage supplier relationships in order to deliver maximum performance to the business. Some of your duties will include: * Assess the current performance of the category and address any issues * Supplier evaluation/selection/assessment * Develop/implement/measure category strategies to meet all customer requirements * Develop close relationships with suppliers, incorporating best practice * Source new products and own the prospection, evaluation and approval of new suppliers. Who We rsquo;re Looking For As the Group Procurement Category Manager, you will Ideally be a CIPS qualified procurement professional with experience in direct procurement in high-technology industrial companies. Previous experience of working collaboratively with international teams is a bonus. You will have previous experience in delivering a procurement category strategy and be able to work in partnership with colleagues and suppliers to deliver results.
