Packing Operative GBP25,000, Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday, 10am - 6:30pm, 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Free lunch, pension, parking The Role We are delighted to be working with our client, a commercial bakery and food production business in their search for a Packing Operative to join their team. Working as part of the packing team, this role will see you operating and monitoring packing equipment to ensure efficient and accurate packaging of food products. Operate and oversee the packing machinery, including but not limited to filling machines, wrapping machines, and labelling equipment. Monitor the production line to ensure packaging is performed correctly and efficiently. Adjust machine settings to achieve desired outputs and product specifications. Perform routine maintenance on packing machines to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve minor problems during production. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to uphold hygiene and safety standards. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production goals and deadlines. Ensure all packaged products meet quality standards and specifications. Requirements To be successful in the role of Packing Operative, we are looking for someone who ideally has some experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Food manufacturing experience would be great, but full training will be provided to those without this experience as long as they can demonstrate good attention to detail and an ability to follow instructions precisely. This role could suit someone who has worked as a food production operative, warehouse operative or manufacturing technician.
