Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Infrastructure) Salary Range: GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 per annum (Experience and qualifications dependent) Location: Southampton Job Description: We #39;re seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team focusing on highway infrastructure projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you #39;ll play a vital role in managing project finances, ensuring cost control, and enhancing profitability. Your duties will include: middot;Analysing costs for highway infrastructure projects, including detailed estimating, cost planning, and cost control. middot;Preparing tender and contract documents, such as bills of quantities and specifications. middot;Collaborating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate and finalize contractual terms. middot;Overseeing the procurement process, including subcontractor selection and appointment. middot;Handling variations, claims, and disputes to secure favorable outcomes. middot;Conducting regular site visits to track progress and provide financial updates. middot;Monitoring project budgets and cash flows, identifying and addressing risks. middot;Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. middot;Providing guidance to junior team members as needed. Skills Required: The ideal candidate should have: middot;Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, particularly in highway infrastructure projects. middot;Proficiency in cost estimating, contract administration, and procurement. middot;Strong negotiation and communication skills. middot;Ability to manage project finances effectively. middot;Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices. middot;Familiarity with software like MS Excel and MS Project. middot;A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
