Customs Administrator Market Drayton Permanent Circa GBP25,000 per annum depending on experience. Monday ndash;Friday ndash; 37.5 hours per week We are working with an international market leading client based in Market Drayton, who are looking to recruit a Customs Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Customs Team Manager you will be part of a growing team and gaining in-demand skills and experience. The company can offer progression opportunities and a variety of benefits. Initially you will work in the office in Market Drayton Monday ndash;Friday either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm for several months while training. Once fully trained you will have the option to work from home (hybrid working) some days each week, but this will not be until you are fully trained which could take several months depending on the individual. Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to: * Liaise with officials to obtain Customs Certificates for as required. * Apply for batch Certificates to maintain continual supply. * Prepare Instructions pro forma invoices as required. * Upload data to systems, including supporting documents. * Ensure original copies of documents are in the correct locations. * Liaise with Customs Brokers, Hauliers and all relevant authorities to ensure all the appropriate documentation, is correct and completed within a tight timeline. * Monitor the email inbox, resolve queries or escalate as appropriate. * Support the Customs Adviser with audit testing and sampling if required. Skills and Experience * To be considered for this excellent opportunity you must have strong administration and communication skills. * Previous experience within an import/export/customs environment would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided. * You will be well organised and be a self-driven individual to make sure tasks are fully completed within set timescales. * You must have excellent accuracy and attention to detail in your work as well as a good level of numeracy. * You must also be comfortable using MS Excel.
