Environment, Health Safety Advisor Market Drayton, Shropshire On Site Monday to Friday Competitive Salary We are currently recruiting for an Environment, Health Safety Advisor to support the implementation of the Environmental, Health Safety strategy at Muller, Yogurts and Desserts. You will be responsible for ensuring objectives and targets are achieved such as being a net zero business by 2050, using 100% recyclable materials by 2050, 30% reduction in water brought onto our sites by 2030 and reducing our overall Health, Safety and Environmental risks and impact. Main tasks and responsibilities: Ensuring that our organisation adheres to the environmental sustainability standards and practices. Responsible for understanding, implementing and continuously improving the environment (14001) and sustainability management systems and sharing best practice across the organisation. Lead the deployment of the sustainability action plan, with a focus on the planet pillar (waste, water and energy). Reporting, checking and validating environmental data using internal trackers and software such as Carbon Desktop to provide insight into trends. Using operational excellence methodology, such as sustainability roadmaps, problem solving, process flow mapping, 7 wastes, assessment and risk and impacts assessment, you will proactively identify and implement solutions to reduce our risks and impacts to the environment. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation with our colleagues to collectively achieve our environmental sustainability goals and targets. Collaborating with internal external stakeholders to investigate common opportunities for carbon, waste, and water reductions. Coaching and encouraging stakeholders to drive behavioural change regarding energy efficiency, waste management, and environmental impacts and aspects. Acknowledge the identification or poor environmental practices within our business. Requirements for the role: Essential Positive can-do attitude and a passion for environmental and sustainability work. Experience within an operational excellence environment with knowledge of continual improvement methodology. Strong data analysis skills, Confident with interpreting results to identify key areas and present plans to meet KPIs. Ability to work autonomously and as part of team. Ability to build strong working relationships. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experienced in Project Management. Championing new initiatives with a proactive mindset. Desirable Level 3 qualification or higher within an Environmental or safety discipline (or commitment to complete whilst in role). Experience within a food manufacturing or other FMCG organisation
