Berry Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Head Chef to work for our client based near Stoke-On-Trent. The family owned country restaurant is looking for an experienced, passionate Head Chef to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head Chef looking to take the venue to the next level and to push their own ideas with food development. Our client is looking for those who have a real passion for food and eager to develop the establishment. Requirements for the successful candidate are:- Must have at least five years experience leading a busy successful kitchen. Preparation and delivery of all food items according to specifications and time limits. Must be competent at delivering high quality food with high volumes. Passionate about working with fresh ingredients Intermediate food hygiene certificate Coordinating the delivery, storage and food safety standards within the kitchen. Managing budgets, cleaning, controlling allergens and record keeping. Capable of leading a team positively, manage kitchen pressures in a professional manner.The role is 5 days a week, approximately 55 hours and will include working evenings and weekends. GBP40,000 per annum, including fortnightly tips. 24 days holiday. Due to the location of the client, the successful candidate must have their own transport.
