Lathe area production engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer - Lathe Area Department Location: Mildenhall Hours: Various Day Night shift patterns available Join a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you #39;ll be responsible for maintaining 16 Multispindle Lathe Machines and associated equipment operating 24/7! Key duties include: Utilising a range of tool room/workshop-based machinery. Proficient in Lathe Machines, preferably Multispindle, with 5-10 years of experience in a production environment, ideally on a 24/7 or shift basis. Demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose machine wear and component quality faults. Being disciplined, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Providing support to the Lathe Area Department beyond regular working hours when necessary. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and excellent communication skills to interact with personnel at all levels. Training and Development: Our client offers a comprehensive on-the-job training and guidance, fostering your growth within the team and the company. Key Responsibilities Include: Assisting the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Lathe Area Department. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. Supporting Lathe Machine production to ensure continuous output. Training new and existing staff. Diagnosing and repairing Lathe Machines and associated equipment. Using maintenance software for task management. Providing assistance to colleagues and service engineers as needed. Fulfilling any additional requirements associated with the Lathe Area Department. Overview: The Lathe Area Department manufactures two major components for each product.
