Laboratory assistant

Are you looking for a Lab Based role? Are you immediately available? Are you highly motivated and proactive? A successful and expanding contract testing laboratory are seeking 2 Laboratory Assistants to join the team at their site in Hemel Hempstead. The company offer testing and analytical services to the food industry. These will be temporary roles expected to last for 4-6 weeks. 37.5 hours per week (10:00-18:00 Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday). Role Overview * Ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy and well stocked of Lab consumables * Support with Administrative duties such as sample registration. * Ensure all work is conducted in line with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and UKAS 17025. Requirements * Some Scientific/Laboratory experience or knowledge from an academic or industrial setting would be beneficial, but is not essential * Strong Team Working skills and the desire to gain some experience in a lab environment. * Must be immediately available and based a commutable distance from Hemel Hempstead In return This will be an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working within a Laboratory setting amongst supportive and highly talented colleagues.
