Area Sales Manager ndash;Contract Furniture PBSA Job Title: Business Development Manager ndash; Contract Furniture PBSA/ Student Accommodation and Higher Education Industry Sector: PBSA, Universities, Education, Student Accommodation, Main Contractors, Furniture, Design, Refurbishment Accommodation Areas to be covered: South of England Remuneration: GBP35,000-GBP45,000 + up to GBP15,000 Commission Benefits: GBP400 Car Allowance Benefits Package The role of the Area Sales Manager ndash; Contract Furniture PBSA Higher Education will involve: * Field sales role promoting a manufacture and distributed range of loose contract furniture * Selling into the student accommodation market including; universities, PBSA rsquo;s (purpose built student accommodation), and Student HMO rsquo;s (main contractors in the future) * Winning projects and frameworks for replenishment within the student accommodation market * Targeted to achieve GBP750,000 * Order values vary from; GBP100-GBP5,000 for small orders, GBP5,000-GBP40,000 package orders and small projects from GBP50,000-GBP250,000 * Working closely with the Commercial Director * Initially only 20% of your time working with existing customers, 80% prospecting for new business (this will become more account management focussed over time as accounts are retained) * Loads of leads to follow up with from trade shows, LinkedIn and the Commercial Director rsquo;s extensive database of contacts etc. * 2-3 days a week on the road (circa 6 quality client calls per week) rest of time working from home The ideal applicant will be an Area sales Manager ndash; Contract Furniture PBSA/ Higher Education with: * Must have 2 years+ field sales experience within the Higher Education/ PBSA/ University/ Education sector * Our client is very open in respect of what products/ services are sold into the student accommodation sector * Open to no Higher Education/ PBSA/ University/ Education sector PBSA sector field sales experience at lower end of salary band * Open to numerous field sales backgrounds such as; fabrics, linen, laundry, insurance, janitorial supplies, chemicals, flooring, lighting, wall coverings etc. * Furniture field sales experience is not essential (full product training will be provided) * Fire in the belly * Driven, resilient self-starter * Trustworthy, able to work autonomously * Contacts within universities, higher education, PBSA and education will be useful The Company: * Est. 15 years + * 25 employees * Privately owned * GBP4m turnover If your experience matches the requirements above please do not hesitate to contact Mitchell Maguire on (phone number removed) or simply apply by forwarding us a copy of your CV.
