Clinical trials administrator

We have an exciting and extremely rewarding opportunity for a Clinical Trials Administrator to join and support the vaccine research team in the Research Innovation Department at MFT. You will join our newly formed, highly supportive vaccines team where you will work on an existing and upcoming portfolio of vaccine studies which are fast paced and interesting. The post holder will be expected to assist with all aspects of administration and data input in relation to their assigned research studies, with flexibility to work on other studies as required. Tight deadlines and rapid turnaround of data is an essential element of these important studies. As these types of studies are very fast paced, the post holder will be expected to assist with other duties such as reception and runner duties if required by the needs of the service with little notice. A flexible approach to this role is essential. The post holder will work efficiently and to a high quality according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Trust policies. Our vision is to support the delivery of vaccine research and ultimately improve health outcomes for our patients. You will have excellent communications skills, a team-orientated approach and the ability to plan and undertake work in an accurate, methodical and efficient manner. A good eye for detail is essential, as are strong administrative and IT skills. An understanding of the clinical trial process, clinical practice, research governance, and a familiarity with medical terminology would be advantageous but training will be provided where needed. You will support our dynamic research team and get involved in many aspects of our research studies. You will actively contribute to the performance and delivery of the team by ensuring you provide administrative support in a proactive, timely and efficient manner. You will help us to maintain our status as one of the leading Trusts in the UK and have the chance to work with a team with extensive research experience.
