Business development manager

Business Development Manager Southeast UK / Field Based GBP40,000 - GBP45,000, Plus Benefits, Company car, laptop, and phone. Our well-established client is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Key Account Manager or Business Development Manager. The role will consist of generating and developing new business leads, managing existing key accounts, and displaying a successful sales performance. Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities: * Present new products and enhance existing trading relationships. * Identify potential new customers and decision makers within the organization and build relationships. * Work with technical team and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. * Attend trade shows, exhibitions, conferences and provide feedback on market trends. * Identify opportunities for sales campaigns, marketing and services that will lead to an increase in sales. * Present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new products and services. * Manage customer pricing and benchmark against competitors. * Track and review customers rsquo; performance against targets. * Present regular updates detailing current performance and sales pipeline. Business Development Manager Essential experience: * Previous experience as a Key Account Manager or Business Development Manager is essential. * At least 5 years relevant battery industry experience with different battery technologies and chemistries, including Lithium. * Experience within the renewable energy sector covering PV and Inverter based systems. * Proven record of achieving revenue targets * Experience selling to Distributors / B2B customers is essential. * Must have full UK driving licence.
