Electrician

I am seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a constituent college based in Cambridge. This is a permanent role with a basic working week of 37.5 hours with an on-call rota and overtime. Salary is GBP34,000 with benefits including a pension scheme, contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pro rata in the first year and for part-time appointments. On-site parking subsidized gym membership. Lunch is provided when the kitchens are open. Responsibilities: * The maintenance of all Electrical, Security, Fire, Heating and Mechanical wired Systems. * Carry out electrical works to NICEIC Standards and in line with best practice. * Carry out tests and inspections of electrical systems and maintain log books. * Maintaining Emergency systems such as lighting, smoke, and fire alarms. * Identify materials, take measurements and prepare material order schedules for review by the Head of Operations. * Ensure that the workshop is maintained in a clean and tidy manner and that equipment is serviced and operated properly * Oversee the electrical testing of planned maintenance systems to ensure compliance * Be prepared to attend out of hours electrical emergencies * Good understanding of Fire System Installation - (Gent / Ziton / Morley / Siemens) Qualifications and Skills: * 17th/18th edition * Electrical Systems 2365 * 2391 or earlier * PAT Certificate 2377 If you are interested, kindly submit your application now.
