Field Service Engineer (HVAC/BRAKES Specialist) GBP37,000 Mon-Fri Location: Home-based, off-site as required (3-hour radius from Crewe) Job Description A well-established and reputable client of ours is seeking a Field Service Engineer to add to their Rail business field service team. The ideal candidate for the Field Service Engineer position will be a positive team player with a self-starter attitude and have ideally 2 or more years #39; experience maintaining/ repairing large commercial HVAC. Responsibilities for the Field Service Engineer Initial preparation of work (tools, parts etc.), day to day liaison with customers and keeping accurate, concise records of work completed. Working with the Project Management team on-site or at depots to deliver projects within the budget and on time. Ensure that all drawings, tooling, fixtures, test equipment are fit for purpose available prior to the commencement of a job Identify and report new revenue opportunities and improvements within your area Ability to solve problems and act as first point of contact, providing support and escalating if required Strong technical expertise to enable troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills to be able to organise workload Experience/ Qualifications for the Field Service Engineer At least 2 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above, including English Language and Mathematics ONC or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is essential Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering HNC/HND, or NVQ level 4 / Foundation Degree is a bonus Rolling Stock Maintenance experience is a must Clean Full Driving Licence If you wish to be considered for this role for a Field Service Engineer, please send your CV to PLEASE NOTE: ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A RAIL STANDARD MEDICAL AND DRUGS ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE STARTING.
