Chief cardiac physiologist

We are looking for a Chief Cardiac Physiologist to work as part of the UK rsquo;s largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. As a Chief Cardiac Physiologist, you will be proficient with BSE reporting guidelines, providing a safe and welcoming clinical environment for patients. You will have the opportunity to mentor and support our trainee physiologists and be involved in our clinical audit programme. Be a role model demonstrating leadership and ensuring proficiency of the service. Contract: Full time. Monday-Sunday - 8 hours between the hours of 08:00-17:30 Salary: Range up to GBP52,000 pa DOE with a Welcome Bonus (T C #39;s apply) The Role: * Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines. * Provide expert clinical guidance via our second opinion rota, ensuring our reporting guidelines are adhered to during clinical peer-review. * Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriate * Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOP * Liaise with relevant hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals * Support with patient bookings, ensuring patient information systems are maintained. Qualifications, Attributes and Skills: * Demonstrate experience in leading, supporting and mentoring a Team. * BSc in Medical Science / Cardiophysiology * Experience of performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards * Hold a current BSE * A full understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance and Caldicott Principles * A willingness to embrace new thinking and new technologies * Evidence of Continuing Professional Development If you are interested in the above role, please contact Martine Cohen at JS3 Recruitment.
