HR Manager Location: Trafford Park office / Hybrid with local travel to sites Salary: GBP60,000 - GBP70,000 (benefits include car, health insurance, pension) Hours of work: 40 hours We have an opportunity for an experienced, commercially focused HR Manager to join the senior leadership team of a multi-site dairy manufacturing and delivery business at an exciting period of growth. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the human dynamics within the organisation. As a part of the SLT, you will be responsible for all aspects of HR operations of the business and reporting into the Board as to the strategic direction for the future. HR Manager Key responsibilities include: Strategic HR Planning ndash; Develop the people strategy with a commercial and future orientated perspective including the incorporation of AI tools and benefits. Recruitment and Staffing ndash; Develop and implement recruitment and onboarding strategies to attract and retain talent for various positions within the business. Employee Relations ndash; Coach, train and advise managers to address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and effective manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements. Learning Development ndash; Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and other learning activities to enhance employee skills and competencies. Performance Management ndash; Work closely with managers to assess employee performance, identify development opportunities, and address performance issues proactively. HR Metrics and Reporting ndash; Establish key HR metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure and communicate HR effectiveness. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making. HR and Legal Compliance ndash; Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Pay Benefits ndash; Advise and guide the business on pay structures and salary reviews, ensuring that pay practices are equitable and competitive within the industry. Candidate requirements: Proven experience in a HR Manager (SLT) role, preferably in the manufacturing or food industry. Thorough commercial working knowledge of UK employment legislation and UK HR principles and practices. Experience in large scale TUPE acquisitions. CIPD level 7 or equivalent (desirable) L D or Coaching qualifications (desirable) Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities with strategic thinking skills. Strong ethical and professional integrity. Commercial acumen and credibility Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work collaboratively to drive organisational success. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Self-motivated, proactive and agile approach to issues and challenges Resilient to change with a desire to achieve.
