Role Overview: As a full-time Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting students with challenging behaviours in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Working closely with classroom educators, they will provide targeted support and mentorship to help students overcome behavioural obstacles and thrive in their learning environment. Responsibilities: * Forge meaningful connections with students, providing 1-1 support and mentorship to address challenging behaviours and build trust. * Collaborate closely with classroom educators to develop and implement tailored behaviour management plans, employing dynamic strategies to promote positive change. * Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere, prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of every student. * Engage students in stimulating activities and interventions, ensuring active participation and enthusiasm in their educational journey. * Cultivate strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and fellow professionals, promoting a holistic and cooperative approach to student development. Qualifications and Skills: * Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. * Demonstrated expertise in behaviour management and mentoring, with a focus on supporting students with challenging behaviours. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering seamless collaboration with teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders. * Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of students with behavioural challenges. Location and Hours: Situated in Finchley, our school offers convenient access to public transportation links via Tube and Bus routes. This full-time position operates from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, providing ample opportunities to make a positive impact on students #39; lives.
