Gas service engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Gas Service Technician/Site Services Engineer to work for one of our clients in Burton on Trent. The client is a market-leading manufacturer of specialist equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering and aerospace. Due to the specialist nature of the products the work is both interesting and varied and will involve fault finding/fault rectification, carrying out repair and installation work and carrying out planned maintenance visits. In addition to the service and repair aspects of the role the work will also involve working on installation projects as and when required, together with testing and commissioning. The successful candidate must be experienced in industrial gas combustion systems with a proven track record of working with industrial LPG (Propane). In addition, candidates must have some, if not all of the following:- * Strong fault-finding skills. * Ability to follow diagrams and specifications. * Project installation work * Experience of commissioning new and refurbished equipment A working knowledge of industrial combustion systems is essential as is a relevant recognised Industrial Gas Safe qualification. Previous experience of working within the steel industry would be useful but is not mandatory. As this is a service role candidates must be willing to travel on a regular basis, both within the UK and overseas.
