Technical support officer

The Transport Fleet Management Team have a 2 year secondment opportunity for a Technical Support Officer to provide administrative support and manage the vehicle and plant hire desk Based at Tame Street, Stalybridge we have an opportunity available for an experienced administrator who is willing to learn new skills and broaden their technical knowledge. You need to be committed to providing an excellent standard of service and work well with change. Requirements: Excellent I.T. skills Self-motivation Organised, flexible and enthusiastic Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, the public, and outside agencies, and have good persuasive and interpersonal skills You must be able to prioritise and manage deadlines and organise work on your own initiative whilst working well within your immediate and wider team Although working hours are set to meet operational requirements, flexibility is required to provide sufficient cover when required A full driving licence is essential as the post-holder will be responsible for managing the hire desk and driving and re-fuelling a variety of small vehicles (cars both manual and automatic, and vans etc.) this is a main requirement of the role.
