Trainee import export

Our client are a small, well established freight forwarder based in Chertsey who have a position available for a Trainee Export/Import Clerk. Full training will be provided and the successful candidate should be enthusiastic, quick to learn and looking for a career within the logistics field. This is a Mon-Friday/37.5hr week and excellent prospects are available for the right person. Overall, Purpose of the Job Main Tasks and Responsibilities * Working within an Export or Import team * Assisting with all Export Import Operations (Full Training) * Completing Customs paperwork * Customer Services * Dealing with customer queries * Consulting with Airlines and Transporters * Updating Pod rsquo;s * Organising collections Skills and Qualifications * Effective communication skills * Active listening * Planning * Teamwork * Think outside the box and show initiative * Proactive * Willing to learn * Mature Outlook * Personable Essential Requirements * Steady 5 year employment/education with ideally no gaps * Able to pass a CLEAR DBS check * Able to easily commute to Chertsey Employment Terms * 37.5hr week M-F * GBP21-23k DOE * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Requirements Preferred Skills: Trainee, bright quick to learn, good comms skills
