Nursery assistant

TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with a private day nursery based in Nottingham City. This nursery provides exceptional care to the 65 children currently placed at the setting. They ensure all staff are well trained in the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding so they can best support the children within their care. The setting provides many learning opportunities for the children to develop new skills, providing activities that stimulate their interests and develop key cognitive and motor skills. The nursery is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their team. The right Nursery Assistant will be supported by the team, whilst gaining experience working with children across ages 6 months ndash; 4 years. The successful Nursery Assistant will be enthusiastic about joining the nursery and learning new skills and be flexible in their approach to how children learn. This nurturing nursery has recently gained lsquo;good rsquo; ratings with OFTSED. As a Nursery Assistant, you will: Be eager to learn new skills and gain new knowledge of the Early Years sector Be enthusiastic about undergoing various training in different areas across Early Years, such as Safeguarding and the EYFS curriculum Have a caring and positive approach to working with young children The ideal Early Years Practitioner should have the following: Level 3 or equivalent (those without a Level 3 are also encouraged to apply) A calm, patient and caring personality Good communication skills A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines Experience in a nursery Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver a diverse range of activities and experiences that cater to the individual needs and interests of each child. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Support children rsquo;s learning and development through structured play, group activities, and one-on-one interactions. Maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and school policies. Monitor and assess children rsquo;s progress, providing feedback and support to promote continuous improvement. Contribute to the planning and evaluation of the Early Years curriculum, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
