With a period of growth and continuous improvement focus, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Technical Sales Manager to become a key part of their strong commercial team. The Role The role of the Technical Sales Manager involves driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining and maximising relationships with existing clients and providing technical sales expertise to support and translate customer needs into solutions and ultimately confirmed product sales. You will develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company growth targets and conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends. As the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues you will conduct regular visits to client sites to assess needs and provide technical support on new business inquiries. The Person As an experienced and proven technical sales professional you will have operated within the engineering and manufacturing sector, specifically in the metals-based presswork and welded assembly field and have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. You will exude excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and have the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications to create and deliver solutions for client inquiries and issues. A sound proficiency in using Sales / CRM software would be advantageous and the ability to travel and visit clients in person is a must.
