Our client are recruiting for an established quantity surveryor or an assistant quantity suveryor looking to take the next step in their career to work on prjects up to GBP10M in value at their site in Salisbury. Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm Salary: GBP48-55,000 + benefits As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities and project timelines and providing business support to the Projects Team. This will include facilitating the working relationship between the team and internal and external customers, ensuring the completion of project reports and documentation, build controls and milestones into plans and programmes, identify business priorities and opportunities for improvements and provide cost advice and support to the projects team. In addition to this, you will liaise with the Senior Leadership team to report on progress of projects, attend Risk Meetings, ensure compliance across Health and Safety, Sustainability, Quality and other statutory requirements, as well as support change initiatives and identify alternative solutions. What You Need To Do The Job: First and foremost, you must hold a HND/Foundation Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying and appropriate experience within the Construction and/or Commercial Property Maintenance industry. In addition to this, you should have experience of developing cost models, risk analysis and management, preparation of proposals and tenders and dispute resolution. Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels. This role will involve working across 10-15 projects at any one time, in either construction or FM, so it is essential that you are able to manage a large workload.
