Senior Systems Engineer - Vehicle Features (Job Reference No: ID640) Gordon Murray Technologies, partnering with Forseven, combines the expertise of visionary designers and engineers to bring disruptive technologies and low environmental impact innovations to the mobility sector. Critical to the implementation of iStream Superlight are integral modules and systems engineered by Gordon Murray Technologies which deliver a range of electrical functionalities - these technologies also being scaleable to serve the delivery demands of any specific platform configuration. With multiple sites in Shalford and Warwick, Gordon Murray Technologies continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for Senior Systems Engineer - Vehicle Features to join our Electronics Team in a Midlands-based location. Responsibilities Systems engineering with responsibility for concurrent engineering of Gordon Murray Technologies EVs, focusing on defining and delivering software vehicle features. Ownership and management of complex distributed vehicle features from definition to delivery in multiple domains: Chassis, Body, Powertrain, Autonomous Drive, Digital Cockpit, Infotainment, and Connectivity. This includes authoring function descriptions, logical architectural diagrams, requirements, and test specifications. Responsible for ensuring vehicle features and their interfaces align with the Electrical Architecture and meet quality, safety, and legal requirements and are delivered in line with feature implementation plans. Support Project Engineers and Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring a common understanding of vehicle features and their interfaces, technical alignment and adherence to guidelines and standards. Coordinate and execute certification activities as needed. Work with the Digital Architecture team to ensure network database updates for distributed functions are correctly specified and implemented. Collaborate with the Verification and Validation team to ensure test strategies and plans provide sufficient coverage at different project stages. Manage engineering changes and issues during the engineering lifecycle. Use engineering design artefacts to perform impact and root cause analysis of issues, understanding their impact on vehicle systems, and work with stakeholders and domain experts to ensure timely solutions. Support and mentor junior team members. Experience and Qualifications: At least 5 years of relevant systems engineering experience delivering software-controlled functions from conception to launch within an automotive EV engineering environment.
