Quality engineer

REED Engineering Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering Manufacturing company. Quality Engineer Job Summary The main purpose of this job is to focus on product and process improvement activities utilising data analysis tools and improvement techniques. Managing the product approval process through APQP, including the development of Control Plans and coordinating the PPAP activities. Main Duties Skills, Experience Qualification #xF0B7; Product and Process improvement utilising data analysis tools and improvement techniques #xF0B7; Reporting of Quality Business Metrics including PEAR data, IDN Data and RFT. #xF0B7; Managing coordinating the NADCAP approval of Heat Treatment processes across all sites. #xF0B7; Managing the Complaints System, including coordinating with sales finance on credits and returns. #xF0B7; Managing the CPAR system to ensure that corrective actions are effective and closed out in a timely manner. #xF0B7; Carrying out APQP activities, including FMEA, Control Plans and PPAP. #xF0B7; Supplier Development Approval, including generation of supplier performance metrics, supplier liaison and surveillance #xF0B7; Carrying out audits for internal product and processes and supplier/ subcontractors #xF0B7; Write / review and update procedures and establish effective processes that ensure compliance #xF0B7; Monitoring customer satisfaction data and taking actions to improve #xF0B7; Training of members of the team and operations regarding improvement techniques, procedure changes and induction training and quality awareness. #xF0B7; IDN dispositioning, analysis, root cause and corrective action #xF0B7; Customer liaison including presentations Secondary Supporting Duties #xF0B7; Supporting customer and 3rd party audits as required. #xF0B7; Supporting the MOC System and completing risk assessments #xF0B7; Assisting the management of measuring equipment and completing MSA #xF0B7; Provide backup to the Inspection Manager for DPRV Grid Overchecks, as required Demonstrable Experience of: #xF0B7; Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs. #xF0B7; Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. #xF0B7; Continuous Improvement tools and techniques #xF0B7; Experience of Quality Management System Implementation and Development #xF0B7; Knowledge of International Quality Standards and technical specifications, preferably within the Aerospace or automotive Industry. #xF0B7; Knowledge and experience of PFMEA, APQP, Control Plans PPAP would be of benefit
