Support worker

Support Worker Requirements: * Able to show compassion, dignity and respect * Understand and consider the needs of others * Must be a good listener * Be an excellent communicator ndash; written and oral * Experience of working with people with complex learning disabilities would be an advantage however not essential, as we offer excellent Induction and on-going training for all staff. * Ideally SVQ level 2 in Health Social Care * A driving license would also be desirable * Provide physical emotional support * Able to understand the individual needs and offer guidance * Able to assist with medical welfare needs * Provide personal care if required * Attend reviews to discuss health and well being * Accompany individuals on outings * Liaise with relatives and staff members * Maintain a safe and clean place to live * Willing to undertake SVQ qualification and attend all training Working together with the people we support can make a real difference to their lives. Some of our services may require sleep over and overnight holidays.
