Fabricator Newton Aycliffe GBP38,000 The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Fabricator for a leading automotive company with stunning build workshops based in Newton Aycliffe and Darlington. Our client is experiencing a period of rapid growth having secured a long-term contract for exciting, new, bespoke hand-built vehicles to widen their existing product range. This role will suite a highly desirable car enthusiast, working for a company of fellow enthusiasts. Overview of the Role: * Fabricator * Salary ndash; GBP38,000 * Holidays: 25 days plus 8 Bank holidays * Pension * Employee Referral Scheme * 40 hours per week Monday-Friday (early finish each Friday afternoon) * Location ndash; Newton Aycliffe, just off the A1(M) Company Overview Evolution, a key entity within the DRVN Automotive Group, and represents a collective of diversified national enterprises dedicated to crafting and delivering some of the most coveted vehicles within the automotive sector. Situated in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, our North East Site boasts a state-of-the-art production facility spanning 40,000 square feet. Equipped with specialised workshop bays dedicated to assembly, engine work, manufacturing, painting, and bodywork, our facility stands as a testament to our commitment to precision and quality. As we surge ahead, production at our facility is poised for rapid expansion throughout 2024, reflecting our unwavering dedication to growth and innovation. Responsibilities * Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company * Component Fabrication: Fabricate and assemble structural components of vehicle bodies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards * Welding: Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding, to join metal components together securely and accurately * Metal Forming: Utilise metal forming equipment such as presses, rollers, and brakes to shape and form sheet metal into required components * Assembly: Assemble fabricated components into the body structure, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and finish * Fabrication and build: The full build phase and fabrication of the full car shell, the development of ongoing fabrication processes and jig and fixture concerns to ensure alignment with production intent * Quality Control: Inspect fabricated components and assembled structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Essential Skills * Proven experience as a welder or fabricator in a manufacturing or automotive environment is proffered * Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding, with the ability to pass welding certification tests * Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, equipment, and materials * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications * Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment * Physical ability and dexterity to perform fabrication tasks in a fast-paced production environment * Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures * An understanding of industry and regulatory requirements such Quality System Regulations (IATF16949, ISO9001, 5S, TPM, KPI rsquo;s).
