Plant operative

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Operative to work Nights for a local waste management client based in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be able to support the Operational Manager and the team by carrying out the following duties. Job responsibilities * Operating and maintaining (once fully trained) plant and machinery in Materials Recovery Facility areas of the site Machines include; loading shovel, forklift trucks attachments, Telescopic handlers and baling/ compactor equipment Working as part of a team to ensure bags are produced in an orderly manner * Complete daily checks and defect reporting for the plant, keeping the plant clean inside and out * Effectively managing vehicles delivering or collecting from site * Participate in skip waste sorting and the positive picking of larger items of recyclables from * tipped vehicles * Quality checking on incoming materials and bales to ensure they are at the required standard * Bailing/ compacting of material or forming good quality bales for reprocessing * Experience operating plant machinery, including loading shovel * Baling/ compacting experience Hours of work and pay rates: * Tuesday to Friday night shift, 17:45pm till 6:15am * GBP13.90 per hour for basic hours, GBP19.64 per hour after completing base 48 hours, GBP27.80 per for any bank holidays worked Benefits include: * On-going assignments * Weekly pay, Hourly rate as above (not age dependent) * Holiday entitlement * Personal accident insurance * On-line Payslips * Pension provision * 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday) * Hourly rate as above (not age dependent) * Overtime Available To Apply, send an up-to-date CV
