Branch operations manager

Role: Branch Operations Manager Sector: Timber Supplies / Construction Materials Location: West Bromwich Area Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP52,000 + Benefits - No Weekend Working! We are recruiting an Operations Manager to run various departments within a very well-respected distributor of timber / building related products. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and methodical individual who must have management / supervisory experience ideally within the disciplines of Transport, Warehousing, Health and Safety and the running of a Timber Mill. Hopefully this experience is derived from a current role within the builders merchants world or a sector that would mean you have relevant transferable skills and therefore you could #39;hit the ground running #39;. Specific requirements for the role include a Transport Management CPC card and an IOSH / COSHH qualification. Like in any business, Health Safety is paramount, this role also involves the need to identify any potential issues and present suitable solutions. Timber knowledge is also a must for this position. This doesn #39;t have to come from a #39;timber specific #39; merchants but there must be a good degree of experience there. The current Operations Manager is being promoted to a regional position, as we speak he is still carrying out his original role and so there will be a #39;nice #39; handover when the successful candidate starts. All the support you could need is there for you but once familiar with the role you will need to operate with a good degree of autonomy. The current team is well established and all the relevant systems are in place and working well. There are departmental managers working beneath you to ensure smooth running of the site.
