Senior management accountant

Company details and job overview: This group of privately owned businesses operate from head offices in Central Blackburn. With various business interests across healthcare, housing, education and people services, they are in a period of high growth. Due to the demands, the group have a new requirement to support the finance lead in a varied senior accounting role. Taking the lead on month-end activity, this group position will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to add value across each of the business units. Central Parking Location (Paid for) Holidays 25 days +BH Flexible working hours Office Based Your new role as Group Management Accountant: As Management Accountant you shall work closely with the Head of Finance in order to provide detailed and timely monthly management accounts. With detailed analysis and added value by way of board pack detail you shall provide the senior leadership team with valuable reporting to enable the decision making process Main Role Duties: middot; Production of detailed monthly management accounts for a number of entities middot; Balance sheet preparation, reconciliation and analysis middot; Assisting in the Budgeting and Forecasting process across the business units middot; Cash flow reporting middot; Assist with year-end audits middot; Ensure key controls are maintained and developed middot; Ad hoc accounting tasks Experience Qualifications Required to apply: To be considered you shall be CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified with strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a management accounting position. QBE candidates shall be considered. You shall be able to demonstrate strong Excel skills being competent in the use of VLOOKUP rsquo;s and pivot tables. With excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to work under pressure and with experience of working with extremely confidential and highly sensitive information, you shall be proficient at developing strong working relationships across an organisation.
