Client accountant

Our Client are seeking a Client Accountant to join their team. The Client Accountant will be responsible for producing accurate company accounts, tax returns and engaging proactively with limited company and self-employed customers with inbound and outbound calls dealing with general queries in line with business/personal tax procedures and statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities bull; Deal with day-to-day queries from customers in relation to cash-flow, accounts treatment, company tax advice, personal tax advice, CIS, VAT and PAYE. bull; Provide a pro-active service to customers utilising relevant information to ensure that they are constantly informed and have full visibility of all areas of their accounts. bull; Provide dynamic and proactive tax and accounting support to 250 + clients using written and phone-based communication. bull; Prepare statutory accounts - this will include preparation of accounts and supporting tax computations for customers requiring year end and cessation accounts. bull; Engage with HMRC regarding client rsquo;s business and personal tax affairs. bull; Assist in the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns. bull; Provide support to accounts assistants within the team. bull; Undertake ad-hoc clean-up or other projects, meeting targets set at the start of the project. bull; Suggest process improvements necessary to the role. Experience and Qualification Requirements bull; Minimum 2 years rsquo; practicing experience as a Client Accountant.(ideally) bull; Proven ability of working towards targets and KPIs. bull; Proven ability to work accurately on own initiative. Additional Desired Experience bull; AAT Level 4 qualified bull; Be familiar with FreeAgent accounting software. bull; Have a good understanding of Making Tax Digital (MTD). bull; Strong excel skills, confident using Look Ups, Pivot Tables
