Health and safety manager

HSQE Advisor / Manager ndash; Boroughbridge We are recruiting for a HSQE manager to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. You will be assisting the National HSQE Manager with the implementation of the Company rsquo;s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies. Duties * Promote the company rsquo;s compliance with current health and safety legislation approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision * Work proactively with managers to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices across the companies * Investigate or where appropriate to assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and incidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence. * Carry out site audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems, procedures and identify and implement improvements * Provide support to the business in standard operations as well as policy and procedural review and improvement * Supporting the internal audit and review process * Annual review and updating of risk assessments and COSHH assessments and other key documentation. * Supporting the development of the internal management systems * Monitoring and tracking of close out actions from site inspection, audits, NCRs and other * Identification of key information and best practice, and associated sharing with the Company * Implement health and safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements Requirements * Full, UK driving license / flexibility to travel. * Understand ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001) * Relevant industry experience (Vegetation management, forestry, highway, Environmental Agency etc) * NEBOSH cert or equivalent with Knowledge and understanding of safety, health and environmental legislation, best practice * ISO auditor Details * Hours ndash; Monday to Friday, 8:30am ndash; 5:00pm * Occasional night shifts required * Travel to other depots / sites required
