Electrical engineer design north west

Unite People are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of our North West based client. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical design, managing electrical installations, and assisting with commissioning activities on-site. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and possesses excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills. The candidate should also be eager to enhance their management skills and lead client discussions on behalf of the company. Responsibilities: Conduct electrical site walkarounds to identify the electrical scope of work and support the design team in detailing tender packages. Liaise with panel manufacturers and electrical subcontractors. Participate in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Process Impact Plans. Design electrical installations in compliance with IEE 18th Edition wiring regulations, WIMES, and client engineering specifications. Develop Block Cable Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Load Schedules, Instrument Schedules, and Telemetry Schedules. Create Functional Design Specifications and User Requirement Specifications. Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics, documenting all self-created changes. Review sub-contractor electrical installations and prepare snag lists. Prepare and complete Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Test Records (ITRs) before and during installations. Essential Skills/Experience: Minimum of 3 years of electrical design experience (preferably in the Water Industry). Ability to travel as needed. 18th Edition qualified. Proficient in Pro Design (AMTECH), AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Full UK/European driving licence.
