RE Teacher - Lewisham - September 2024 A dedicated and passionate RE Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Lewisham, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis. This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs and NQTs You will be required to become fully involved within the department school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents #39; evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. This school teaches GCSE and has a key focus on build knowledge throughout KS3 and KS4. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way, in tandem with AfL. This is a school that the students feel safe in and happy to attend, with a strong sense of pride in their own school. The leaders #39; expectations for behaviour are high but these high expectations are matched by the students. The students are punctual and show enthusiasm when it comes to their education. There are also chances to get involved in other activities outside of the classroom: range of sports, drama clubs and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS: Location - Lewisham Position - RE Teacher (KS3 4) Type of work - Teaching Start date - September 2024 Likely Duration - Ongoing Contract type - Temporary to permanent Full time Minimum rate of pay - from GBP180 - GBP220 per day Hours - 8:30am - 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification. Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
