Traffic Management Operative GBP26000/annum Blackpool Description We are currently recruiting Traffic Safety Officers to be based out of our Blackpool Depot to support our growing operations team.. This role will allow the successful candidate to up skill and develop through the company. As an Traffic Safety Officer your role will include collaborating with the site supervisor and construction team to ensure the smooth and safe operation of traffic control measures. Working Hours: 39 hours per week Monday ndash; Thursday: 07.00 ndash; 16.00 (inclusive of unpaid breaks) Friday: 07.00 ndash; 15.00 (inclusive of unpaid breaks) Renumeration Package: Negotiable (depending on qualifications and experience) Profit Related Bonus Workplace Pension Accident and Life Cover (after successful probationary period) Holidays 29 days including bank holidays (pro rate for Part time) Sufficient days will need to be saved for the Christmas Shutdown About Us We are a specialist civil engineering and highways contractor serving local and transport authorities throughout the North West of England. Company and Sons Ltd are an equal opportunities employer Loading and unloading Traffic Management vehicles with Signage and associated devices in a safe and organised manner. shy; Accurately complete Daily Traffic Management Company Site Check Sheets, ensuring that all variations, modifications or adjustments to a traffic management scheme are fully recorded and authorised. shy; Record signage and devices used per job via daily diary. shy; Accurately measure distance using Traffic Management vehicle odometer, measuring wheel, or other means of measurement. shy; Accurately layout a traffic management scheme in accordance with basic rules, from a generic traffic control diagram (TCD) or formal traffic management plan (TMP). shy; Accurately complete Site Hazard Assessments and implement control measures to suit the site. shy; Accurately and regularly complete site checks and monitor traffic behaviour and or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times. shy; Follow instructions from supervisor, managers, or MWRA inspectors, auditors or officials. shy; Driving and towing, inclusive of extended reversing with an arrow board or VMB (Visual Message Board). shy; Care and maintenance of Traffic Management Vehicle signage and traffic management devices. shy; Filling and loading of sandbags. shy; Cleaning of Traffic Management vehicles and signage at the end of shift. shy; Perform all other duties to control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public. shy; Constantly patrol the sites that have been allocated to you to ensure that traffic and pedestrian management is suitable and maintained throughout the working day. shy; Inspect sites that have been allocated to you at the start and end of every working day. shy; When you pass by other sites that have been allocated to you, your responsibility as a TSO working on behalf of Company Ltd extends to these sites. shy; Collect and return to the compound or depot any signs, cones, heras fencing, barriers etc. that are surplus to requirements. shy; Ensure barriers are bagged in straight lines, interlocked or tied together to prevent removal. shy; Assist in educating the workforce that barriers and fencing must not be left open at any time. shy; Constantly monitor the site and assist in clearing away anything that may constitute a trip hazard. shy; Establish ldquo;CCTV In Operation rdquo; signs at each end of working areas wherever practicable.
