Offshore process safety engineer

Process Safety Lead ( Offshore ) ndash; Abu Dhabi ndash; Permanent ndash; July/ Aug Start To provide clear leadership for all site HSSE aspects; personal, process and regulatory. To provide clear guidance and direction for Site leadership on all HSSE matters for offshore assets. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Member of Management team, Leadership and guidance on all HSSE matters (personal, process, regulatory and compliance). Ensure that all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements are maintained and continually seek ways to improve the site rsquo;s approach and performance with respect to HSSE. Lead on process safety studies, particularly HAZOP hazard studies and process hazard reviews. Be an lsquo;intelligent customer rsquo; (eg Human Factors) for such studies and reviews to ensure the company needs are met in the most effective and cost efficient manner. Be the face of the company to the Regulatory bodies (HSSE, EA and UU (wastewater permit). Be the primary route of contact and maintain proactive and positive communications with Regulators to best manage the company interests. Ensure continued proactive compliance to the requirements of being an upper-tier COMAH site including the 5 yearly revision to the COMAH manual. Identify, establish and ensure implementation of good safety practices. Ensure that all personnel have received appropriate safety and health training. Monitor for and implement improvements as developments occur. Maintain and provide leadership of a system of incident reporting, investigation and analysis, ensuring the site investigates and report all near misses, incidents and reportable accidents: internally to relevant persons, and externally to the relevant authorities with a key focus on continually learning and improving from the insight provided. Have ownership of the site rsquo;s emergency response processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing ongoing development and training for the site to ensure a robust and fit for purpose emergency response capability. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Recognised relevant engineering/science qualification; educated to degree level or above. Hold or working towards recognised safety qualification. 5 years in safety-related roles preferably within offshore assets ( FPSO TOPSIDE Platform ) Demonstrable experience of Process Safety Management. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations. Experience in dealing with people at various levels in an Organisation and the Regulatory bodies. CVs to (url removed)
