Teaching assistant

TA Are you an experienced TA, looking for an exciting opportunity in Folkestone? Simply Education is working with a school, who are looking to appoint a SEN TA, starting in immediately until the end of the academic year and into next academic year. This is a full-time, long-term position. Roles and responsibilities Assist the teacher in delivering lessons, providing individualized support to students. Prepare teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are ready for use in lessons. Implement behaviour management strategies outlined by the teacher, supporting a positive classroom environment. Provide additional support to students with SEN, implementing strategies outlined by SEN coordinators or teachers. Work with individual students or small groups, providing targeted support to address specific learning needs. Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support the overall functioning of the classroom and the welfare of students. Requirements Previous experience working with children, either in a formal educational setting or through voluntary work, is often beneficial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy are essential for working effectively with students and teachers. Often required to undergo background checks, such as an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, to ensure suitability for working with children. Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting the learning and development of children, contributing positively to the school community. Familiarity with basic educational principles and practices, including behaviour management techniques and assessment methods. Benefits Children who are well behaved and want to learn.
