Position: School Caretaker Location: Large Secondary School, North Birmingham Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Temporary with a view to becoming permanent About Us: T4S Education specialises in recruiting facilities staff for schools across Birmingham. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled School Caretaker to join the site team at a large secondary school in North Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with strong maintenance or handyperson skills to contribute to a safe and secure environment for staff, pupils, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the site team to ensure the school #39;s premises are well-maintained and secure * Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring the school environment is safe and operational * Monitor and maintain the school rsquo;s security systems and procedures * Conduct regular inspections and identify areas needing attention or improvement * Assist with the setup and takedown of school events and activities * Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Requirements: * Strong maintenance or handyperson skills * Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process a new one * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Previous experience in a similar role within an educational environment is desirable but not essential Benefits: * Competitive hourly rate * Opportunity for a permanent position * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Opportunity to contribute to the safety and well-being of the school community To find out more about this School Caretaker position based in Birmingham then apply today
