This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate working as part of a dedicated team providing a first-class proactive claims handling service to major clients. Liability Claims Handler ndash; Key duties Liaison with Insurers, Policyholders and Brokers Investigation of allocated claims from the desk, or via referral to a field adjuster for site investigation where appropriate Obtaining all necessary evidence and relevant documentation Determining appropriate actions for the resolution of the case Preparation of detailed reports, where required, providing advice on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics Negotiating settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limits Corresponding with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusion Handling all cases in accordance with the client rsquo;s requirements by referral to documented procedures at all times Maintaining a proper reserve at all times by regular review Keeping updated on any technical changes relevant to your role. This may include participating in training programmes facilitated by the company Liability Claims Handler ndash; Key requirements Experience handling EL PL claims is essential Knowledge of how to value an injury claim Knowledge of reserving philosophies desirable Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal Good communications skills at all levels Excellent customer service
