This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start date, though we are willing to delay for the ideal candidate. The role is expected to continue through September and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets the educational standards and needs of our students. Teaching Excellence: Demonstrate outstanding teaching practices, inspiring and engaging students in the subject of English. Staff Development: Provide guidance and professional development to English teachers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team. Student Achievement: Monitor and support student progress and achievement in English, implementing strategies to address any areas of concern. Resource Management: Efficiently manage departmental resources, including budget allocations, teaching materials, and technology. Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and the wider community to support student learning and development. Compliance: Ensure the department adheres to all relevant educational policies, standards, and regulations. Qualifications and Skills: Education: A Bachelor #39;s degree in English or a related field. A Master #39;s degree or relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE) are highly desirable. Experience: Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes. Leadership: Previous experience in a leadership or management role within an educational setting is preferred.
